Starting December 1, 2024, PIEE will implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to all users logging in with their User ID and Password.

There are two methods to authenticate to your account: via Authenticator App or via email.

DUE TO POSSIBLE LATENCY ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH EMAIL, IF YOU CURRENTLY LOGIN TO PIEE WITH USER ID/PASSWORD, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU INSTALL THE AUTHENTICATOR APP ASAP TO AVOID SERVICE DISRUPTIONS!!!

Method 1: Authenticator Application
Authentication apps, once downloaded to your mobile device, create secure six-digit codes for account sign-ins.  Although these apps are vulnerable if your device is lost or stolen, they provide greater security compared to phone calls or text messages, effectively guarding against phishing, hacking, and interception.
After logging in go to My Account>Setup Authenticator App to setup the Authenticator App.
 
Method 2: E-Mail
Receiving an OTP (One Time Password) by email adds an extra layer of security to your account. This method ensures that only someone with access to your email can complete the login or transaction, protecting against unauthorized access.
Ensure that you have a valid e-mail address that you have access to. It should not be a group or shared email.
After logging in go to go to My Account > User Profile to update your e-mail address if necessary.

The PIEE web site will be  unavailable during OS Patching starting at 2000 EST, Friday, 11/22/2024 and ending Saturday, 11/23/2024 at 0230 EST.

All applications (EDA, FEDMALL, PALT, WAWF, SSO, etc.) will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

MAINTENCE EVENT:  Sustainment release v7.0.7 will be applied to production Thursday, 11/21/2024, 2000 EST - 2200 EST.
DATE AND TIME:  Thursday, 11/21/2024, 2000 EST – 2200 EST.
IMPACT:  ALL applications (WAWF, EDA, FEDMALL, PALT, SSO, etc.), users who are logged in at this time may need to establish a new session and log back in.

If you receive an error that the connection is not secure, or an SSL error attempting to log in, please contact your local system support.
Troubleshooting of this error must occur locally by someone that has local system administrator access to the affected PC.

 This error can be caused by:

- Out of date or incompletely installed local Root Certificates
- Outdated SSL cache in the browser
- Browser/Internet settings misconfiguration
- Browser extension Issues
- Incorrect Time and Date Settings
- Antivirus or firewall issues
- Network communication issues preventing a successful SSL connection

 The recommendation is a local admin attempt the steps found here to reinstall root certificates https://militarycac.com/dodcerts.htm#There_is_a_problem first.

If still unsuccessful, disable all browser extensions, reset browsers to default settings, clear browser and Internet cache and clear ssl state. Add "cac.piee.eb.mil" and "piee.eb.mil" to the trusted sites list. Reset advanced internet options to its default state. Verify system date and time settings are valid, and local antivirus or firewall settings are not blocking SSL connections to piee.eb.mil or cac.piee.eb.mil, and that there are no known network communication issues.
