System: All Subject: FIX FOR: "site not secure" error Critical! Message For: All Users
*this is a system message, not an error*
If you receive an error "The connection for this site is not secure", or an SSL error attempting to log in, please contact your local system support.
It is a local browser error, it is not a PIEE error.
Troubleshooting of this error must occur locally by someone that has local system administrator access to the affected PC.
Try this first: reinstall root certificates
This error can be caused by:
- Out of date or incompletely installed local Root Certificates
- Outdated SSL cache in the browser
- Browser/Internet settings misconfiguration
- Browser extension Issues
- Incorrect Time and Date Settings
- Antivirus or firewall issues
- Network communication issues preventing a successful SSL connection
The recommendation is a local admin attempt the steps found here to reinstall root certificates https://public.cyber.mil/pki-pke/tools-configuration-files/â¿¿ or https://militarycac.com/dodcerts.htm#There_is_a_problem first.
If still unsuccessful, disable all browser extensions, reset browsers to default settings, clear browser and Internet cache and clear ssl state. Add "cac.piee.eb.mil" and "piee.eb.mil" to the trusted sites list. Reset advanced internet options to its default state. Verify system date and time settings are valid, and local antivirus or firewall settings are not blocking SSL connections to piee.eb.mil or cac.piee.eb.mil, and that there are no known network communication issues.

System: All Subject: **Attention** CAM Appointment link issues Critical! Message For: All Users
**Attention**
There is a known issue with the links sent in "Approve CAM Appointment Request" Emails for Electronic Business POC’s to complete.
While a resolution for this issue is in development there is a simple workaround.
The Token URL received will begin with https://cac.piee.eb.mil/portal/applicationApproval?email=.....
Simply remove the “CAC.” From the URL so it reads https://piee.eb.mil/portal/applicationApproval?email=.....
In some cases, this will need to be done in your browser address bar after clicking the link and receiving an error that the site is not available.
If you continue to encounter errors approving a CAM, please call the Help Desk at 866-618-5988
