Description

The work and services will consist of environmental remediation and support for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo, New York District. The project involves excavation, transport, and disposal of FUSRAP-contaminated soil, constructing the engineered landfill cap for areas A, B, and C as defined in the project drawings. The selected remedy for the landfill is capping of specified areas to minimize surface water infiltration, limit erosion of the cover over landfill contents, and limit release of liquids and gas. The major components of this project are:- Mobilization and site prep work- Monitoring, sampling, testing, and analysis of contaminants- Preparing and installing landfill cap- Layering of fill and topsoil- Road repair, rip rap, drainage, and ditch improvements- Project oversight and supervision
