USACE SPK 2 Phase DB Construction – East 388th Apron Repair, Hill AFB, UT. Replacement of approximately 735,000 square feet of existing Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement, along with full rework of structural base materials to include the addition of an aggregate base course with stabilized drainage layer and geotextile filter fabric, as required for seasonal frost conditions. Replace existing shoulder asphalt pavement, along with rework of the shoulder base course, provide anchored tie-downs and pavement markings on the new pavements, removal of underground asbestos piping, and installation and/or removal of crew shacks. Demolition includes removal of 52 existing sunshades, PCC apron slabs, and asphalt shoulders. Any asbestos/LBP removal shall be accomplished by a certified asbestos/LBP removal contractor.
